TCP/IP and AppleTalk Network

Is your AppleShare IP server and/or network currently connected to the Internet?

If YES:

How is your AppleShare IP server and/or network connected to the Internet?

Dial - up

Direct "live" connection

Dial -up means that when your network connects to the Internet, a modem is used to dial-up an Internet Service Provider for access.

Direct connection to the Internet means that your connection is "live" all of the time and a gateway is used. Examples of this are ISDN routers, T1 lines, T3 lines, and frame relay connections.

If NO:

Do you want to install the provided MacDNS software on a computer on your network? It will track and perform DNS lookups on computers located on your local area network. (If you're not sure you want or need DNS services, see more on DNS. Also see the MacDNS documentation.)
